Not all vitamin C is created equally. Many “whole food” commercial vitamin C supplements are fortified with synthetic ascorbic acid, after processing destroys a fruit’s naturally occurring vitamin C. Smidge® Kakadu Plum is different. Ours is made entirely from pure, Australian Kakadu Plum fruit, gently dried using a low-heat process that helps preserve the vitamin C naturally present in the fruit. No synthetic ascorbic acid. No fillers or additives. Just real vitamin C from real food. 🍊 If you want to learn more about real food vitamin C versus ascorbic acid, take a peek at our blog post: na2.hubs.ly/H05WTKC0 #PowerOfSmall

Recently, we sat down with our co-founder, Dan Corrigan, to talk about the ideas and beliefs that have shaped Smidge® over the years. In the months ahead, we’ll share more from the conversation. But today, we’ll kick it off with where vitamins really come from — and why that matters. Give it a watch and stay tuned for more #SmallThoughts from Dan. na2.hubs.ly/H05Wz-Q0

Before synthetics, there was liver. Made from 100% grass-fed New Zealand beef liver and gently freeze-dried to help retain the nutrients that are often stripped away, Smidge® Beef Liver provides naturally occurring nutrients akin to nature’s multivitamin: It's high in naturally-occurring vitamin A, vitamin B12 and copper. And a good source of riboflavin (vitamin B2), folate (vitamin B9) and selenium. Whether you’re supporting energy, workouts, immune health, or gut balance, this little capsule does a lot of heavy lifting. Because the best nutrition is found in nature, not a lab. #PowerOfSmall na2.hubs.ly/H05Vnpr0

When it comes to product labels, the difference between marketing and truth isn’t always clear. Here are a few basic “watch-outs” to help you read between the lines. A quick reality check on supplements: Most labels are built to impress you… not to truly inform you. If you want to actually understand what you’re taking, here are 6 things to consider before you buy: 1. “Proprietary blends” = lack of transparency If you don’t know how much of each ingredient you’re getting, that’s a problem. You deserve clarity, not guesswork. 2. Big numbers don’t mean better results Seeing 500%, 1,000% of daily value might look powerful—but it often signals imbalance, not quality. The body isn’t designed for constant megadosing. 3. Form matters more than label hype Two supplements can list the “same” nutrient—but in very different forms. One may be usable by the body, the other… not so much. 4. Fillers and flow agents add up Magnesium stearate, silicon dioxide, “natural flavors”—they’re common, but not always necessary. The cleaner the label, the better. 5. Is it whole-food based… or isolated? Nutrients in nature come with cofactors that help the body recognize and use them. Strip those away, and you often lose the synergy. 6. Ask: do I even need this? This is the one most people skip. Supplements should support a solid real-food foundation—not replace it. na2.hubs.ly/H05DLKc0

A strange thing for a supplement maker to say: “Take fewer supplements. Start with real food.” But after years in this industry and my own health journey, that’s exactly where I’ve landed. Most people assume more is better. More capsules. Higher doses. Bigger promises. But the body doesn’t work that way. In fact, too much of a supplement can push you further out of balance, not closer to it. I’ve seen it time and time again. That’s why at Smidge®, our philosophy has always been simple: Eat well. Supplement minimally and wisely. Stay in balance. Because when your goal is to support the body (not overwhelm it), less often does more. That’s the #PowerOfSmall. 🥗💊⚖️ — Smidge® co-founder, Dan Corrigan na2.hubs.ly/H05fjn50

When it comes to stress and mental wellness, balance can be more effective than looking toward one magic nutrient. Magnesium and vitamin C, especially from natural and whole food sources, work together to better support the body’s stress response. Add in a premium probiotic to round out a serene gut-brain connection. And over time, small steps can add up to big changes. #PowerOfSmall na2.hubs.ly/H05f9PG0

Magnesium supports the nervous system in several key ways, including GABA activity and stress hormone regulation. That’s part of why it often comes up in conversations around stress, sleep, and overall mental wellness. We kept this simple on purpose. But the research goes deeper. #PowerOfSmall na2.hubs.ly/H05fb2p0

Mental wellness can be something we tend to — slowly, daily, gently. Support can look like simple things: a conversation, a deeper breath, fresh air. An evening rhythm you can return to. This month is a steady reminder that small supports count. #PowerOfSmall #MentalHealthAwarenessMonth na2.hubs.ly/H05d_Bj0

Feeling run-down during stressful seasons is common. And it’s not always a caffeine issue. Chronic stress can deplete key nutrients the body relies on for energy — especially B vitamins, copper, zinc, and choline. These nutrients support the nervous system, brain function, and steady energy. Beef liver is one of the most nutrient-dense foods that naturally contains them all. Smidge® Beef Liver capsules offer a simple way to replenish these whole food nutrients. Pair it with Smidge® Kakadu Plum for a real-food source of vitamin C, which helps support the body’s response to stress and immune function. Taken together, these small supports can help rebuild nutrient reserves and tackle stress. ☮️ #PowerOfSmall na2.hubs.ly/H04N6jX0

Stress isn’t only a mental experience. The body responds to it, too. Magnesium is one of the key minerals involved in the body’s stress response — helping support the nervous system, muscle relaxation, and overall balance. Magnesium can come from small, daily habits: ⚬ Magnesium-rich foods like leafy greens, nuts, and dark chocolate 🥬 🥜🍫 ⚬ Epsom salt baths 🛁 ⚬ Magnesium supplementation, like Morning Magnesium, to help maintain healthy levels throughout the day 💛 A small bit of support for your busy days. #PowerOfSmall na2.hubs.ly/H04MF3Y0

What you eat matters. But so does how your body digests it. Bloating, gas, or occasional indigestion can signal your digestive system is working harder than it should. Digestive enzymes can help, especially with larger meals, restaurant food, and travel. Not sure which enzymes fit your needs? Seasonal allergies involve more than just pollen. Histamine is part of the body’s natural immune response. During allergy season, that response can ramp up — bringing sneezing, itching, and watery eyes. The microbiome plays a role, too. A healthy gut helps support a more balanced immune response, including how the body responds to histamine. Certain probiotic strains may help support that balance. Supporting gut health year-round is one small step toward a calmer season. Just a smidge at a time. #PowerOfSmall na2.hubs.ly/H04Lld00

Farmers market season is one of the best parts of spring. Tables full of fresh food, early greens, and the chance to meet the people who grow what you eat. A few simple tips for your next visit: -Shop what’s in season. In spring, it’s often greens, herbs, radishes, asparagus, and some berries. -Focus on whole foods: fresh veggies, pasture-raised eggs, local meat, raw honey, herbs, and simple ingredients. -Don’t skip a stand just because it’s not labeled organic. Many small farms follow organic practices but can’t afford certification. The goal isn’t perfection. Just to get a little closer to your food. 🍎🍊🍓🥦🥒🥔🍏🌽🧀🥩🥕🫑🍗 na2.hubs.ly/H04G3WB0

Whether you celebrate Easter or just welcome the warmth of the season, it’s a great time to gather with friends and family. Of course, if the kids are around, candy usually is too. Here are some cleaner options: -Organic, dark chocolate (70 % cacao) -Chocolate-covered nuts, coconut or dates -Honey-sweetened chocolate treats -Dye-free jelly beans or fruit chews Or try a quick homemade dark chocolate bark for extra real food magnesium: Melt chocolate, spread on parchment, and top with chopped nuts, coconut flakes, or freeze-dried berries. Let cool, break into pieces, and enjoy. Keep the sweetness, lose the junk. #SmarterSnacking na2.hubs.ly/H04G2jJ0

Stress doesn’t only affect our minds. When cortisol rises, gut motility can slow, and microbiome diversity can shift, potentially leading to digestive, skin, sleep, and energy issues. Consider this Stress Awareness Month a reminder that caring for your mind and body through challenging seasons can be simple. And beyond these real food options, consider Smidge® for additional supplementation. Magnesium supports a calm nervous system and helps replenish minerals the body uses during times of stress. Probiotics support robust gut health and a positive mindset. Because it’s the small routines that can make a big difference. ☮️ #StressAwarenessMonth na2.hubs.ly/H04G5LZ0
