Took some time today to redesign Windframe's how it works section right inside @getwindframe The nice thing about this is that I just had to export the code as a react component as soon as I was done and had it in production in minutes 🤩

I’ve been building this way with @getwindframe for ages now and it's honestly one of my favorite ways to work. I sometimes switch to the code editor when I need to edit a hidden element or fix a layout bug that’s easier to spot in the class names and I jump back into design mode once I'm done. Design mode on a canvas is great for moving things around, adjusting spacing or trying out new layout ideas. It just feels more natural... Going back and forth like this makes building way smoother. I don’t think I could go back to a separate design and code workflow It’s great to see more products moving in this direction. UI building is gradually evolving!

I'm starting a new project I will be building and designing an entire UI Library on @getwindframe Workflow will be > Prompt to create the base UI and then > Refine and polish in an editor > Export clean production code I’ll be sharing and documenting some guidelines on best practices for this kind of workflow. But ultimately, I want to show how easy and efficient it is to build a complete, consistent UI library that can be reused across projects.

Shipping a v4 update soon that removes unused CSS variables from the output like we do with classes 👍 Adding an option to keep them too for people who want that, but I think this is a nicer default — much less noise in your dev tools ✨
