“……there are unlimited external problems.” Focus on what you control, your thoughts, discipline, reasoning and mindset. What you think you become.-Buddha #stoicism #cbt

We think we can get happy by solving our external problems. But there are unlimited external problems. So this is the wrong way of looking at things. In reality, the only way we can become happy is by focussing inside. On inner peace.

Parents: If there’s ONE video you watch on social media today. Please let it be this one: Frank Martin discusses parents attempting to coach their kids from the sidelines.
Leader vs. Supervisor A supervisor oversees and assign a task or duties A leader inspires and influences those around them. Sets the culture through example and fairness. Helps others achieve their goals while focusing on the mission.

A good supervisor can demonstrate confidence in the task and goals of the job. Others can depend on them for direction and expect them to be in the trenches when needed.

A good leader, leads from the front, not remotely. Motivates and inspires others to achieve a common goal. Demonstrates honesty and integrity and serves a higher purpose in the development of others. #leadership #mentoring #success
Never thought about it, but it seems like an awesome tool to help you look at your path.
The most powerful reflection you can do: The Monthly Review. Most people go their *entire* life without reflecting—and before they know it, years have gone by and it's too late to change. So don't let this happen—grab a pen, crack open a notebook, and answer these 5 questions:

Lazy people do a little work and think they should be winning! -vs.- Winners work as hard as possible and still wonder if they are being lazy! Hard work > Lazy 💯 🎥 @LewisCaralla

Pay attention to yourself, no one can change your behavior but you. Having a goal is awesome and maybe even necessary, but it’s your behavior and habits that will help you achieve.

At 50 I’m now wishing I spent the last 35 years training more like an athlete. Young people getting into lifting and fitness need to be taught the importance of lateral movements, shoulder and hip mobility and plyos.

I see young athletes fail because they have been pushed to be the best, someone told them they got natural talent, but everyone can’t be #1. Instead teach #discipline, effort, failure is learning. Compare yourself to the athlete you were yesterday, no one else.

Parents spending $$$$$ on trainers, strength coaches, rehab equipment, personal coaches, private training and then on the way home... They drive through McDonalds. What your athlete eats is just as important as what your athlete does! Food is fuel. ~from @SFHShoops
