Cannot overstate how much of an impact Camelwork's content had on me, both in what I consumed and what I dream of making. My heart goes out to all who loved him, which seems like anyone who got the chance to know him.
I'm just devastated.
Today, we share the heartbreaking news that Mackenzie Rowles, known to many of you as “Camelworks”, has passed away.
Together with his family and friends, we recently held a celebration of his life and gave him a final send-off, with his ashes being scattered across the Australian countryside.
I cannot describe the heartache I felt when I was told the news. Mack was my good friend, one of the first people I ever met in the games industry and Bethesda/YouTube community, over 10 years ago. He was the kindest, most welcoming person you could ever have the privilege of knowing. He cared very deeply about those around him - always happy to have a conversation and help you with any problem you were facing, without question. And man, he was just the funniest guy. No matter how you were feeling, he could make you laugh and brighten your day.
Camel’s family has asked for all of you to share your fondest memories of him and remember him for the incredible life he lived. He built an amazing community of over 800 thousand people across his YouTube channels, and we would love to hear how he touched your lives. Please also respect their privacy at this difficult time.
Finally, I would like to show you this video of Mackenzie, which was made for his family and played at his celebration of life service. Many tears were shed when editing this video, and I hope it does his memory justice.
Camel, I cannot help but cry when writing this, but rest in peace my brother. I will spend my days looking for you in Sovngarde and we will share a drink once again.

If I find anyone who follows me is anti-trans I will relentlessly bully you until you're gone from any space I'm apart of.

I don't know how many Americans friends are talking about this but up in Canada we are hearing more and more about this everyday and it's getting to the point where things are gonna get hostile between our counties. It was never funny and now it's getting worrisome.

I don't think I've posted this here before but I am taking very minimum freelance work from now until the end of summer. I'm going to be 30 this year, and while I've attempted to do this before, I've never put in the proper care or dedication into my own content to try and grow.

If i don't do it now before it's (probably) time to move on, I'll be haunted by the "what ifs". I'm not gonna post whatever I think will get me popular, I'm gonna focus on what speaks to me and what I want to make. Make some dream projects in the process. What will be will be.

If I'm never meant to be a full time creator on my own content, that's totally fine with me. At least I'll have tried, and at most this will always be a side hustle and my favourite hobby, so I will never disappear entirely. I will have lots of stuff soon, so stay tuned!

2024 was a low point in my life. All my relationships suffered, my health hit an all time low, and I failed to hit a single career-focused goal. I uploaded my first video when I was 23 and I'll be 30 this year, and yet I feel like I'm basically restarting all over again.

2025 is all about the rebuild. I need to get healthier, I need to reset my priorities and focus on my future, and I need to find out once and for all if I really have what it takes to be a full time creator. It's gonna be a scary year, but it's now or never. Good luck everyone.

The local Chinese place packages their chow mein noodles and gravy in different containers so the noodles stay crispy and this is legit a religious moment for me. A real Christmas miracle.
