Listen, if we’re not competing let Salvy have his swan song to do whatever he wants this year. If you want to be competitive, and go for the wild card you cannot keep batting him clean-up. I’m apprehensive to say you should hit him at all. I just don’t know what you do with him.

One thing we need to mention at this point is Garcia’s woes. He hasn’t been hitting the ball and his OPS on the season just dropped under .700. He’s still the 2nd best player on our team but he needs to get right quickly. Get the bat going again, the glove is still playing.

Baseball is developing a second identity. A more exciting, watchable experience. I love it. The pitch clock has been a resounding success and all the ideas floating around are only to grow the game further. Baseball is taking no prisoners. Baseball is the only sport growing.
