turns out a lot of the work i did on my current project before the weekend was waaay overcomplicated, so now i have to go back and simplify.
friendly reminder if you are anything like me: you can easily sabotage yourself by neglecting to take breaks when you’re “on a roll” 😅

worked for 8 hours today without breaking a single thing, got cocky about it and was promptly put back in my place
ALT a conversation in slack. the first message, from me, says, "I can't ruin my 8 hour streak if I don't break anything" with image of Roll Safe from Hood Documentary tapping his forehead, followed by a response from my conversational partner: "you can't break anything if you don't code 👍"
