Instruments rely more on evidence than on prayer. Instruments are GlideOS apps that help you debug or inspect what's going on in your other apps. Instruments are not exposed to your users; they're a tool to help you during your build. In this video, @dvdsgl builds an instrument in the same project as his todo list app to demonstrate the simplicity and utility of this type of software.

When you add something to your app over here, does it break something over there? This is one purpose of 'testing' in software development. Glide's other Co-Founder, @jassmith87, and I built Fling over about 2 months on the hunch that giving @claudeai Code an easy-to-use “Publish” button would unlock it for a larger group of users. When you use Claude Code, you describe what you want, and Claude writes the code. But publishing your software to the web requires a whole lot of additional work.
