100% of the mothers Iβve spoken to (countless, over the years) have told me that being a good teacher and a good mother is at best a heart-breaking struggle, at worst impossible.
Itβs so sad.
Can someone fix the system?!

The UK economy loses out on an estimated Β£48 bn a year due to the lack of language skills in the workplace. This is not rocket science; we have to improve provision from an early age and allocate more curriculum time to make young people want to do langs in HE.

Liz Truss, at a Westminster garden party last year, suggested people the retirement age be raised to 80.
Now, I'm perfectly prepared to believe this was a very deadpan joke ...but it's not *actually* that different from suggestions made by Tory fellow travellers...
