🤔 Is s1mple really toxic? karrigan gives his take in an interview with
@BanKsEsports:
«I think, obviously, you can react differently, right? He could be frustrating in practice. “Guys, guys, guys, what you do?” And that's because he wants to win. That's because the mentality to win is higher than everyone else on the team. They expect more from you. They expect more for my calls. He expects more for your teammates to play correctly.
Is that toxicity? I don't think so. Can it come out the wrong way? For sure it can. That is the difference between me and Sasha. He would do it during the rounds. Do it right now. The round is live. “Why are you peeking? Why are you peeking?”
So obviously the pressure he puts on you during the game is high. But does it make you perform better? That is an individual question. Some players think: he's pushing me. He's pushing me to be better, and he's right. I shouldn't have peaked. But some players who's not reflective: “I was not wrong, I'll do it one more time again”. If you have the right piece around him, he'll make them better. If he has pieces that are not strong or not can accept and let things go, it's going to be very hard for him in the team he goes to.
I am completely fine with a lot of feedback, a lot of things to improve on because, yes, his mentality to winning is so high, and he expects perfect CS from everyone.
But can you play perfect CS all the time? You cannot. So are you going to get a comment every day by a s1mple? Yes, you are. And you just have to accept it».
