The track, titled “No Competition,” is produced by Afrika Islam, one of Ice-T’s most trusted creative partners dating back to the rapper’s rise in the late 1980s. Afrika Islam played a significant role in shaping the sound of landmark Ice-T releases and has remained a frequent collaborator throughout his career. In his Instagram post, Ice-T explained that he “just felt like posting a track for 24hrs” to check fans’ temperature on the forthcoming album.
