Sometimes you can spend a year on something meticulously perfecting it, then someone comes out after you've started, puts together a hob-job with half the features you do and a lot less polished.
Yaps about it like crazy, your business is still on your hard drive while they're skyrocketing

I hate to admit it, but in startups, distribution often matters more than the product itself.
A brilliant product nobody discovers is just a hobby.
An average product with great distribution can become a massive business.
You still need to build something people want.
But building is only half the game.
Learning how to get attention, earn trust, and reach the right users is usually the harder part.
