I think the Shadow Crystal Quest will not succeed, providing players with serious incentive to try to do the Weird Route, to go a little further. From the very start the SCQ and WR have been tied together. The Thorn Ring and Pure Crystal combine to make the Twisted Sword.

I also think that for the Weird Route to actually mean something and not just be a dumb, obvious moral fable, it has to actually achieve something. I think the Weird Route will succeed. I think it will even have an attractive "upside". But at a horrible cost.

deltarune is like crack to me man i dont know why this game has such a stranglehold on me but i'm just thinking of playing chapter 5 and not even the big stuff like the secret bosses or egg rooms but just like seeing regular enemy darkners and reading their flavor text
