8/ The Brennan Center for Justice frequently publishes comprehensive data reports on judicial diversity, explicitly highlighting the lack of professional background diversity on state supreme courts and arguing for the inclusion of non-traditional candidates.
9/ And the American Judicature Society (AJS) Archives contain historical and modern essays on judicial selection methods frequently debate the merits of appointing academics and practitioners vs. promoting sitting trial judges.
