Encyclopedic, nuanced and witty history of psychology's ethical and scientific missteps in the service of racism. Erudite, refreshing, and so far as it illuminates a shameful history of racial slander and exclusion, infuriating. A delightful read

RIP Maria Eduarda Rodrigues de Freitas The young lady in Brazil was thrown off a bridge to her instant demise.. The Bungee Guys did not attach the Rope to the young woman's legs and threw her off the bridge some 130 feet to her death. No one seemed to notice the Bungee Rope laying on the bridge as the three man crew picked up the woman and tossed her off the bridge. Six people associated with the event organizer were arrested on suspicion of negligence and possible homicide.

They have forgotten Congolese are the original dandy. We see THEIR influence in the iconic Windrush photos to the American zoot suit. True Sapeurs adhere to a strict unwritten code as they don their immaculate coordination of colors, textures, and luxury brands (like Giorgio Armani, Gucci, and Louis Vuitton). The elegance is not just in the clothes, but in one's polite manners, positive attitude, and ability to command respect. They also strictly avoid counterfeit goods, saggy pants, and anything Chinese-made. The vibe and the style is authentic. Salute to Les Lรฉopards for bringing African fashion to the forefront.
Thinking Africans (specifically Congolese) started combining leopard print with suits because of coming to America? As in the home of La Sape?

๐Ÿ‡ฟ๐Ÿ‡ฆ โ€œWe want the foreigners to come back now!โ€ โ€” Factory workers in South Africa have taken to the streets to protest the dismissal of foreign workers, warning that the move could disrupt production and put jobs at risk. They argue that many industries rely heavily on skilled foreign labour, with insufficient local workers available to fill the gap.

Ruby Dee, 1969, reading some of the names of unarmed young Black men killed by police. Throughout her life Dee and her husband Ossie were on the frontlines of the Civil Rights Movement, raising money for movements, working closely with figures like Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and Malcolm X, and enduring FBI surveillance for their radical activism.
