ALT In the School’s early years, the students were taught by an amazing group of highly dedicated volunteers, including Mrs. W. Hendry, Mrs. G. Bellis, Mrs. Knowler, Mrs. J.W. Heath and Miss L. Mather. The first teacher (and later principal), Mrs. Margaret Beamish, was hired in 1955. Over the course of many decades, enrolment skyrocketed from eight students in the first year to 55 students today. The School has had had several names throughout its lifetime, however, for many years, it was known as Campbell Children’s School, named after Ralph and Bea Campbell who were instrumental in its development. Be assured: Grandview School’s new name and logo will not affect the School’s program, services or staffing. It will continue operating as normal, only with a brand that more closely aligns with Grandview Kids.
