#ECI518 THANK YOU! Thank you for sharing your ideas and participating in tonight's chat! Good luck and let us know if we can help you! @techy_teach1 @BrittanyLBranch and I appreciate all you do for Ss!
A5: For the purpose of Distance Learning, I have to say @Flipgrid is a favorite. I also think that @DeckToys by @boon_jin is a tool that can help with differentiation during this transition#ECI518
The challenges are going to be far more complicated than just connectivity. We have to prepare to support Ss like never before and Ps, ITFs, CFs are going to have to prepare to support Ts like never before. #ECI518x.com/BrittanyLBranch/status…
A4: ELL students, EC students, difficult home situations, students who need our emotional support before they will find the strength to dive into learning. That kid you check in with every 5 minutes in class, they are going to struggle without us by their side. #eci518
A4: Obviously connectivity is going to be an issue, but so is website overload for some of these companies. Again, grace and understanding are going to go a long way over the next few weeks/months. #ECI518
Educators came up with a solution to the problem of Distance Learning in HOURS. It isn't perfect yet, but we tackled it head on and without complaining. Educators restore humanity and will strive for equity! #ECI518x.com/BrittanyLBranch/status…
A3: Meet the basic needs of the children first. Seeing school buses out delivering food to our children in my area, every family getting a phone call to check in, restores my faith in humanity. #eci518
Q3: This one is going to look different depending on where you are. There isnt one answer for this question, but we know Ss will have this issue. Understanding, patience, grace, and respect are all good places to start. Is schools being open for WIFI access enough? IDK #ECI518
There seems to be a theme here #nced! Consistency is going to be key as we continue to blaze this path for our Ss, but as ITFs it is important that we are consistent with our Ts too! #ECI518x.com/TirpakN/status/1240434…

A2: Consistency. All grade levels have anxiety. We need to reassure all of the kids we are new to this as well. Gaining trust and open communication~ not only Elementary kids but HS kids. They have a lot on their minds as they ready for graduation.
Q2 (1/2): This one is a doozie! Routines are so important to Ss of all ages. I am giving an outline of daily expectations to my Ss so that they understand what is happening for the day. #ECI518
Q2 (2/2): Attendance is a completely different animal. For me, I will probably use discussions and participation as a means for attendance. Making it simple for Ss to be present without adding stress. #ECI518
Q2: What routines can be established with distance education to ease student anxiety? How do you manage taking attendance during mobile learning? #ECI518
