In communities challenged by years of insecurity and displacement, every intervention represents more than assistance, it represents hope, dignity, and a pathway toward recovery.
Over the past seven months, Green Concern for Development (GREENCODE), in partnership with Save the Children International and with generous support from the United States Government, implemented an integrated humanitarian response project in Gajiram, Nganzai LGA of Borno State.
The project delivered life-saving and resilience-building interventions across Nutrition, Child Protection, Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH), and Food Security & Livelihoods (FSL), reaching vulnerable households affected by conflict and humanitarian crises.
Under the Food Security and Livelihoods component, cash assistance was provided in three phases, empowering families to meet their most urgent needs while preserving their dignity and choice:
- First Cash Disbursement โ 3,609 participants
- Second Cash Disbursement โ 3,613 participants
- Third Cash Disbursement โ 3,588 participants
Beyond the numbers are thousands of families who gained access to food, improved nutrition services for children, safer environments for vulnerable children, and better access to hygiene and sanitation support.
As this project comes to a close, we celebrate the resilience of the people of Nganzai and our commitment to supporting communities affected by conflict and adversity will never end.
