I'm sorry, but this was absolutely stupid to run under these conditions, when WC was on the line for top 2. They risked injuries, and even a FAT timing malfunction. Then the woman's race was delayed 30 min. The athletes & coaches should all have colluded not to run.

Think like a farmer:
• don’t shout at the crops
• don’t blame the crops for not growing fast enough
• choose the best plants for the soil
• irrigate and fertilize
• remember you will have good seasons and bad seasons - you can’t control the weather, only be prepared for it

Mistakes I made as a new runner:
1. Restricting calories
2. Underestimating the influence of other life stressors
3. Thinking running always needed to feel hard
