Up to 2000 the Queen of Spain Fritillary (Issoria lathonia) was a coastal species (plus some wanderers inland), now it is moving north inland and has already colonised more than half of NL.

A Purple Hairstreak basking at Alners Gorse, Dorset this morning. Alners Gorse is a Butterfly Conservation reserve and in my opinion is the best place in the UK for seeing a huge variety of butterflies.
