I wrote the new main campaign for No Man’s Sky in 2017— what that helped lead to (as well as others’ work on FFXIV & Fallout 76) makes me feel like too many ignore post-launch story updating potential. I’ve consulted for a few such projects — revamp more achievable than it seems
This type of work does not even need to be for a negative reason re: reception; BALDUR’S GATE 3 is a great example of a project that has received multiple narrative edits and additions to enhance existing storyline rather than fix perceived problems
