Spectacular 'bad science' in BMC Endocrine Disorders. 10 variables 3 models 4 comparisons=120 p-values but authors focused on 2 values<0.05. All respect to reviewer 1 for pointing out errors bmcendocrdisord.biomedcentra… but shame on R2 & the greedy journal. Unhelpful rubbish!

‘Homeapathy’ noun. A negative or depressive emotional state or torpor; typically as a result of prolonged periods spent work or study performed at one’s usual place of residence

Sensible, logical & brave guidance. We cannot sacrifice children's education 'just in case' they get ill. The 20 deaths registered in under 19s are all tragic but three times that many children drown each year; life is risky: manage.

I’m more concerned for the 12% who take a poll to vote ‘don’t know’ than I am about the results! Who are you?
This is correct.
I actually read 50 confusing pages of Borisisms x.com/i/events/1259836364494… -learnt that Tennis and Angling are 'OK' now Question is then why lock them down to begin? what else could we be doing - risk of infection listed

REJECTION LETTER from Peer reviewed Journal confirms authors’ beliefs; ‘Papers should not be a non-finding & should not show that a program studied does not work’ honestly?

“GROWING OBESITY CRISIS” Factcheck! BMI falls in summer holidays already- but...Schools could really help maintain activity levels and improve health that way
Schools should be kept open all summer, running sports clubs, in a bid to tackle Britain's growing obesity crisis: telegraph.co.uk/news/2019/07… Maybe @educationgovuk needs to make it mandatory for a % of #PEPremium grant to be allotted for the staging of such provision=all costs met

To be on a par with maths and English Schools would have to deliver PA/PE every day; prioritise in teacher training & standardised assessment at each key stage. That’s my personal utopia, .but we’re pretty far from it.

You forgot declines in aerobic fitness and strength of our nations youth - give the blues their dues!

The Conservative Olympic legacy: 🏊‍♀ 105 swimming pools drained 🏃‍♂ 12 athletics tracks closed ⛹‍♀ 361 sports halls shut ⚽ 817 grass pitches sold off We have had some increases though: childhood obesity is UP, as is the number of kids not doing regular exercise.
Can we finally close this line of enquires thanks to this rigorous & excellent work? Spoiler 2-overweight not a ‘risk factor’ in most kids anyway.
Thanks to ⁦⁦@Ulf_Ekelund⁩ for sharing this paper. What if all children achieved WHO recommendations on physical activity? What’s the impact of PA on childhood overweight in the UK. (Spoiler alert - PA is not the obesity solution. Sorry 😐) academic.oup.com/ije/advance…

The forgotten guideline gets a mention? Only appeared in 6 of the 600 communications at ISPAH 2018 though 😮
