Early in the strike, I tweeted about room size, went viral. Subsequently got a call from NYT. Nice enough reporter, but kept asking about division in strike lines. I made it clear there was none. Told me I'd get another call to fact check. Shocker, never heard from them again. 🙄

The framing here is the tell: "Rising hopes" as the AMPTP is said to "give" something of seeming value. I am on the negotiating panel. Our hopes will rise when, on confronting a fair contract, the studios come to terms. Trust not the trades. Trust not the studio leaks.

I don't get the legacy companies' thinking. The techs? Easy. Cash to burn, so prolong the strike, drive down legacy stock prices. Then gobble up legacies at a discount. Are the Zaslavs/Igers counting on big payouts upon sales? Is it self-sabotage? Why else stay in the #AMPTP?

Minimum staff size. I keep getting asked about it. I myself didn’t entirely understand until the Showrunner Meeting. Even then, it took three people asking the same question until the pieces locked together for many of us.

Spoke to a dear friend who's also a studio exec. She was bummed bc a writer openly snubbed her at a screening. Writers (and actors), pls remember that creative execs have ZERO control over what the C-suite does. Most of them support us. Don't quell that by being rude. #wgastrong
