Tip Tuesday! If an AI chatbot keeps giving you ideas you already thought of, tweak your prompt. Add words like unconventional, creative, or something most people wouldn’t think of.
A small change in your prompt can lead to much more interesting ideas.
Chris Kennedy wrote a blog about the importance of prompt engineering.
I prompted Gemini to create an infographic about Chris's post. Gemini really is getting better at properly generating text in the images it generates!

ALT Infographic titled “Is Prompt Engineering Really the New Future Skill?” showing three sections: initial hype, evolving reality, and essential human skills. It explains that while prompts matter now, AI tools are becoming more intuitive and will handle prompting behind the scenes. The infographic highlights the enduring importance of human judgment, asking good questions, evaluating AI answers, and collaborating effectively with AI.
Tip Tuesday! AI chatbots like ChatGPT and Gemini can get a little too creative when revising your writing. Keep it closer to your original by using this prompt: "Revise this for clarity, flow, and grammar."
Tip Tuesday! Both Gemini and ChatGPT have a Deep Research mode that searches the web for you and delivers a detailed, cited report of what it finds. Great for learning about a new topic, product comparisons, and professional learning.
Even in war, learning can grow. In 3 experiments with ~10,000 Ukrainian students (2023–24), 3 hrs/week of small-group online tutoring raised achievement (up to 0.49 SD math, 0.40 SD language) and lowered stress (−0.12 SD). High take-up, scalable, cost-effective (BCR 31–56).

I used TeachAid to generate a week-long AI literacy unit, complete with daily lessons, interactive slides, activities, exit tickets, and assessments! It’s all customizable, and it can differentiate and personalize everything it generates.
It’s so satisfying to see an entire unit come together!

We have updated to the latest version of Desmos in Groupworld, which gives access to new features such as regression functions. All interactions with Desmos are synchonized in real-time with any other connected users in the Groupworld room.
🚧 Desmos will be undergoing scheduled maintenance on Sat, Aug 9, ~5–7am PDT / 8–10am EDT. You can still use all of the tools, but logging in & saving may not work. Trouble saving? Keep the tab open & try again later.

Safari 26 (currently in beta) now finally supports AudioEncoder and AudioDecoder, giving high quality audio in Groupworld recordings, as well as the ability to play audio from Chrome tabs shared by other users. webkit.org/blog/16993/news-f…
This means that Chrome, Firefox and Safari now support all Groupworld features except for sharing audio from browser tabs (which is only supported by Chrome, but users with Firefox and Safari can listen).
