Just a mum who wants equality in provision for post secondary education on and off island, not relying on parents income, other campaigns in the past too.

Very humid out there I thought then came in and spotted the sea fog rolling in…

Hey @Getonthelash2 I thought you said it had been quiet this World Cup ? Looks like Scottish fans had other ideas 🤣 never seen so many bagpipes and Scottish songs appearing on my Soc Media before! I don’t even like or follow football!

Traffic onto and around St S Road Springfield is horrendous, and it wasn’t even a usual busy time. Avoid it if you can that is.

Normally it’s ducks, pheasants, hens, and other birds that nip in for a bite to eat, today a young squirrel 🥰.

Cost of Living. What extra pressures are there on people to do things like proms, extravagant weddings, baby showers? Should people rein back on these including schools? Are debts rising due to them? What about those excluded due to cost, is any thought given by schools?

Cost of living. Perhaps people would have more money to save towards deposits for homes if less was spent on other areas that were not spent on just a couple of decades ago?

Cost of Living. Baby showers, and reveal parties. Where on earth did these come from?

Cost of living. Weddings. This is another area that’s grown out of all proportion in just 20yrs Stags and Hens instead of a night out these seem to have become a weekend or even a week away! That’s before the other instead of a reception, now breakfast, lunch, supper, fireworks.

Cost of living… I’ve seen a No. Of posts about Proms, these never existed before and I just can’t understand why such ridiculous amounts are spent on them. £3/500 on a dress for a teenager, limos, pre prom post prom parties😳 It’s consumerism at its worst.

Ducklings-0😢no idea what got the last one, we’d been hopeful that it was getting so much bigger it might fledge. Watching Springwatch everyday and the Pine Martins eating chicks in nests is rather sad.

I think if I’d been in a balloon for a couple of days crossing the Atlantic I’d just want to land now and have a cuppa! Looks like France so maybe a glass of wine or a coffee!

Down to one duckling yesterday for a while we thought they’d both gone poor mother duck was distressed, no idea what happened. Cat, Crow, Seagull,Buzzard all likely. It would be lovely if this remaining one gets to fledge.

I could have dog knapped, saw a rather beautiful JRT in a van at supermarket, very waggy tail almost asking to be knapped. I resisted 😅.

It’s a concern to see Caesarean rates are rising as they are, without seeing a corresponding drop in neonatal & still birth rates. Our C/S rate was higher than the U.K. no local figs for 2025. It costs more, the risks to future pregnancy is greater, decline in birth rate?

We also do not have the riskier demographic anywhere near in the same amount to account for our numbers. We still have no home birth option. These Qs need to be asked and answered.

This election is the worst I can recall. In future no funding allowed at all from any source for elections, be that unions or ‘other sources’. Stop bickering, concentrate on what matters to islanders, listen more, and always reply to us, then maybe more would get out and vote!

Such a great idea! Are any of our schools doing this?
New much easier link for schools or six form colleges to sign up to the free National Money Assembly... young-enterprise.org.uk/abou…
