A huge thank you to
@Decentralized_M for his outstanding repair service 🙏
On April 13th, 2026, my NerdOctaxe (from
@CoSatoshi821 ) suddenly died.
Apparently, this is a known issue affecting some NQ and NerdOctaxe units during long-term operation especially with rising temperatures.
To be clear:
This is not a quality issue of
@CoSatoshi821 work quite the opposite.
Even
@Decentralized_M mentioned how impressed he is with the build quality.
So how did I notice?
Every morning, I check all my miners individually hoping to maybe catch that lucky block 😄
But this time, the Octaxe display didn’t respond at all.
Instead, I heard a clicking noise from my Meanwell UHP 750 PSU.
I immediately contacted
@Decentralized_M , explained the situation, and he offered to take a look.
So I disassembled the miner (including the full water cooling setup), cleaned everything with isopropanol, carefully packed it, and shipped it via DHL.
👉 Just 2 days later, the miner was already on his workbench.
Diagnosis confirmed:
A CSD component had failed and needed replacement.
Even better:
He implemented a long-term fix to prevent this from happening again (likely using a higher-spec component he can explain the details better).
Now the important question:
💸 What did it cost?
The repair was more than fair under €60 (including a small tip for a cold beer 🍺).
The most expensive part of the whole process was actually shipping, not the repair itself.
And the best part:
🚀 Within just 3 days, the miner was fully repaired and back in operation.
Depending on your location and his workload, you’re looking at roughly 5–7 days total turnaround time.
All I can say:
@Decentralized_M provides an excellent repair service
✔️ fair pricing
✔️ extremely fast turnaround
✔️ high-quality work
I can fully recommend him — and I will definitely continue sending my hardware to him in the future.

#COOLAXE 🧊❄️
Built with passion, curiosity, and many sleepless nights.
One more miner back to life!
This time the owner is nothing else that
@xeve1337 from the CoolAxe!
But guess what?
The miner itself was built by
@CoSatoshi821 and I must say, the components were so neatly soldered I got a bit envy 🤣 and the PCB extremely clean from residual flux!
Said that, the issue again was a CSD shorted but thanks to the Octaxe dev the issue is now permanently fixed thanks to a series of capacitor that has been replaced.
This fix seemed to apply to the Rev 2.2, not sure if on the NQ the cause of shorted CSDs is caused by the same issue.
Well, the job is done, the miner tested and on its way to the owner.
If you're based in Europe and your miner suddenly died, gimme a holler!
Ps the scree is broken as it is my testing display😅
