sorta not remotely what I expected but I really liked this. the idea that fascism is so illogical it will even turn you against yourself is a really interesting take on the obligatory doppelganger antics and even though the climax was smaller than I expected, it really works
rpats does an impressive job of making the mickeys feel both different and alike but the movie would not work without naomi ackie who is really brilliant as the only normal person in a world full of borderline cartoon characters. pro-ruffalo’s performance if it even needs saying
every single story about jeremy strong is like “we were stranded on a desert island and he cut off his own leg so I had something to eat, when we made it back to land he bought a winning lottery ticket and donated everything to my daughter’s college fund”
