I talked about PFAS in West Bend, toured the recycling facility in Germantown on Earth Day, and visited students and staff at Addison Elementary School in Hartford!

While in Oconto County, I fixed the darn roads in Gillett during my annual Pothole Patrol Tour, filling in potholes on County Road BB between N. Lake Ave. and Richmond St.

I declared 2023 the Year of Mental Health to bring action and attention to the challenges facing our communities, and we've been glad to support efforts to expand access to mental healthcare and encourage folks to take good care of themselves and each other.

This year, our child care industry was facing an imminent collapse, so I directed $170 million in emergency stopgap funding to stabilize the industry, help providers keep the doors open, and support working families through June of 2025.

We've made smart investments to address workforce challenges, expand access to worker training and apprenticeship, and reduce barriers to work across the state.
