Nothing beats the excitement when 3rd graders get to hold real fossils! 🦖 Thanks to @PaleoCameron for sharing your amazing collection and sparking curiosity in students year after year! #fossilsunit#3rdgradescience
The WHOLE concept of melting ice, rising sea levels CAN BE PROVED by putting a container FULL of ICE with water filling the rest of the volume, THEN allowing said container to take its natural course of melting & what you WILL find is that the container DOES NOT overspill with excess liquid. INSTEAD the materials simply CHASE PHASE which is EXACTLY what the oceans will do in this case. #3rdGradeScience#Duh#YouAreWelcome
Students had a blast with the #EggDropChallenge! 🥚💥 They explored gravity, forces & interactions, Newton’s Laws, acceleration, speed, velocity, and friction—all while testing their engineering designs! 🔧💡 Hands-on learning in action! #STEM#3rdGradeScience@MissPicinich
🧪 Exciting times in 3rd grade science! Our meteorologists are diving into weather research, learning how to observe, record, and predict weather patterns. #3rdgradeScience
Today, our class enjoyed a hands-on activity using magnets and iron filings to explore the magnetic forces of repulsion and attraction. 🧲 ⚙️@scholarpride@ScienceMISD#3rdGradeScience
Head ups!
Rapid Changes 🫨🌎
Student A had to act out what Rapid Change it is! Student B had to make a choice! Earthquake? Volcanic Eruptions? Landslides? #3rdGradescience@StehlikES_AISD
Another day of 8 and 9 year olds impressing me beyond words! Not only are we scientists, we’re becoming great public speakers! @HumbleISD_ACE#3rdgradescience#habitats
Para concluir nuestro tema sobres las propiedades físicas de la materia, investigamos los sólidos, líquidos y gases por medio de un delicioso “Dr. Pepper Float”. #3rdGradeScience@ScienceMISD@bil_misd@scholarpride 🥼🫧🥤🍨
Thank you 3rd grade team at @HHSK8Knights for your valuable time today at PLCs! I am stoked to team up with you this year and support the science in your classroom🌟#3rdgradescience#sciencerocks
There are so many discoveries in The World of Magnetism 🧲
Our 3rd grade scientists conducted 3 different investigations to explore the attraction/repel of magnets and the various sizes of magnetic fields!
