The B Com 6th Semester paper leak first surfaced when students were caught at R.D. National College. The college rushed to take action by rustication of 6 students, but without answering the most critical question: where did the paper come from?
Instead of investigating the source, the college chose the easy route.
But we didn’t stop there.
ABVP Mumbai dug deeper, and what emerged was far more serious.
The roots of this entire incident trace back to the Mumbai University system itself, where lapses and weak mechanisms created the very conditions that allowed this leak to happen.
When confronted, the university did not respond with transparency.
It chose to hide behind police, avoid accountability, and attempt to walk away from the issue.
But pressure works.
Through sustained protests and a firm stand, ABVP Mumbai forced the administration to step back, accept the memorandum, and commit to action within 3 days, including registering an FIR.
Let it be clear, this is not just about 6 students.
This is about a system that failed, and then tried to cover its own tracks instead of correcting itself.
ABVP Mumbai will continue to pursue this matter until
the entire chain is exposed and accountability is fixed, from the bottom to the top.
