At #MWCBarcelona2026, the conversation around #AI in telecom felt distinctly more grounded and practical. During our joint leaders forum with Google Cloud, the focus was on how AI is being embedded into live network environments and directly linked to measurable business outcomes. Discussions centered on network economics, operating discipline, and delivering customer experience at scale. What stood out was the maturity of the dialogue. Strong data foundations, disciplined engineering, and clear ownership are now viewed as essential. Operators are increasingly examining how AI impacts cost to serve, service reliability, and revenue models across the enterprise. These exchanges continued at our booth, where industry leaders shared real‑world experiences of scaling AI within complex telecom environments. The emphasis was clear on execution, accountability, and treating AI as a core operational capability rather than a side initiative. Global ARPU dropped 10% in 2025, even as CapEx remains a massive weight. ​How do we break the cycle? Agentic AI and Monetization. ​Monetization is moving up the stack: It’s no longer just about infrastructure.
