- #APIfirst is about exposing every business capability as an intentionally designed API: It's a business-level change.
- #APIdesignfirst is about developing an #API by designing it outside-in: It's an IT-level change.

Representational State Transfer in REST doesn't mean database row transfer. Your API schemas don't need to match your database schemas. In fact your API should reflect how the user interacts with the domain behind the API, not the low-level details of your db

- don't rely on array positions in data objects - those are "schemaless schemas"
