I probably started going to conferences in 1990 or so (MLA first, ick) and I have to say this #asap13 meeting I just returned from sure looked a whole lot different, in all the best ways.
Whatever the opposite of "glory days" is? That's the song I'm singing.

After having planned #PopCon2020 (the 1st big conference to migrate online completely, since we were scheduled for in-person in April 2020), and now #ASAP13 in the post-vaxx tentative in-person/hybrid modality, I now declare my retirement from this kind of world-building. ✌️

Huge thanks to @rgreenwaldsmith @jd_schnepf @hujane @JunoRichards and @jdconnor for a productive kinda raw conversation on writing at the edge of the discipline at #ASAP13 and 👏🏽to the organizers for getting so many of us together in person virtually despite everything!!
