Most are asymptomatic and resolve spontaneously, but treatment is recommended when patients develop symptoms such as hematuria or hypertension, or when large AVFs and associated pseudoaneurysms carry a risk of rupture.

Pediatric pial AVFs are a distinct disease, not an AVM. Direct AV shunt without a nidus. Straightfoward curative embo is possible. This case was cured in a single session, 20 min fluoro-time, <1 hr total procedure time. Understanding the pathology changes everything.

シャントの世界で超有名なDolmatch先生とHaskal先生が連名で日本のステントグラフトの市販後調査の12か月結果に対してLetter to the Editorを出していて、いろいろと説明してくれているんだけど、その内容よりも最後に
「more importantly we would hope to see multi-center, prospectively randomized data using the Viabahn for AVF stenosis, especially when AVFs are the dominant form of permanent access in Japan and the United States.」って書いていて、やっぱそうだよな～！って思いました。
やっぱ、どこでも困ってる部分は一緒で、Cephalic arch stenosisとかDCBでは満足できる結果ではない症例があるよね・・・
