Over the weekend, the Lagos State Domestic and Sexual Violence Agency joined AXA Mansard (@AXAInvest) for the AXA Week for Good 2025 Awareness Walk — amplifying advocacy for safer homes, safer communities, and a safer Lagos. The walk was more than symbolic; it was a powerful reminder that protecting lives requires collective action. Together, we raised our voices for survivors, challenged harmful norms, and emphasized that Being a Girl Shouldn’t Be a Risk. Today, we visited Akande Dahunsi Memorial High School in partnership with @padbanknigeria to provide hygiene kits to 200 female students. With the increasing cost of items as basic as sanitary pads and hygiene materials, it is becoming difficult everyday for some families to easily afford such. At AXA Mansard, we believe that nobody should be left out when it comes to having access to such items. This week, in continuation of #AXAWeekForGood, we took the message of protecting what matters to school girls. Studies have shown that the prevalence of sexual violence against girls in school can range from 20% to 50%. We’re convinced that with increased awareness, more girls will be free from SGBV and can reach their full potentials without the pains of harassment, molestation or any form of abuse. This is why we partnered with @warif_ng to foster awareness, equip with knowledge, and cultivate a supportive environment for the female students of Government Senior Secondary School, Maroko and Wahab Folawiyo Senior School.
