During our Valentine Edition Chat & Chew, we gathered, grabbed a plate, and leaned into what meaningful #studentdiscourse should truly look and sound like in #ELA and #Reading classrooms. We talked through: 💬 Students building on each other’s thinking 💬 #Accountabletalk stems in action 💬 Text-based discussions (not just surface answers!) 💬 #Teacher-led moments that guide, probe, and push thinking It wasn’t just talk, it was real #reflection. Teachers shared what discourse looks like in their rooms, celebrated wins, and identified small shifts we’re ready to implement immediately within upcoming lessons. The energy was warm, collaborative, and honest just how PLCs should be. 💗 Conversations were flowing, ideas were exchanged, and you could feel the commitment to making student thinking visible and audible. Nothing makes me prouder than seeing a team willing to refine together for the sake of student growth.
