MinWRI's "Aqua-Innovations"
In the south of Kazakhstan, late winter is the time for water distribution, signing contracts, and setting limits. Proper resource planning is essential, especially since water is becoming scarcer every year.
But thanks to the "innovations" of the Ministry of Water Resources and Irrigation (MinWRI), scarcity seems to be a myth.
According to official data from last year (and we only trust official data, right?), exactly 74,587 hectares were irrigated in the Zhetysai and Maktaaral districts.
The Satellite Reality
It turns out the Ministry is just being incredibly modest and hiding its true achievements. Satellite assessments reveal that in 2025, the actual irrigated area in Zhetysai and Maktaaral was 141,644 hectares.
That is a "margin of safety" of over 67,000 hectares! Forget nano-tech; this is breakthrough aqua-tech clearly designed to "fight" the water deficit by simply keeping half the irrigated land off the books.
With an undocumented surplus this massive, they shouldn't just aim for a new statistical record—they should be aiming straight for the Vice-Premier’s chair. 📈🏅
Disclaimer: Obviously, none of this is exact. You should only trust official sources (just definitely don't quote them). 🤫
