Severe disruptions at Sochi Airport have left passengers waiting for days after repeated drone alerts and temporary airspace restrictions severely impacted flight operations.
Travelers on flight 6641 to Novosibirsk, originally scheduled for June 15, saw their departure postponed four times. After a brief hotel stay, many were sent back to the airport and forced to remain there because their checked luggage could not be retrieved.
Passengers reported overcrowded hotels, limited transport, and even families with children being turned away due to a lack of accommodation. Although meal vouchers were provided, some airport restaurants reportedly ran out of food. The airline stated that the aircraft was being refueled and expected to depart shortly, but more than 100 flights remained delayed, with several others canceled. - russian media

In Japan, where the Board can't even fire the CEO because it's against social norms, the consequence of any fuck up is "nooo I will bow and take pay cut, and you shall forgive me". What use is reducing her pay from $1.6 million to $1.2 million if she's mismanaging an airline with an annual $8 billion revenue? how about pay *more* for a better executive? insanely stupid country.

Ariana Afghan Airlines says its CEO, Bakht Rahman Sharafat, and officials from a Jordanian airline held an online meeting to discuss a contract for a Boeing 767-200 charter aircraft.
According to the airline, both sides discussed expanding technical, operational, and commercial cooperation, as well as increasing the flight capacity of the charter aircraft.
Ariana stated that the aircraft can carry approximately 290 passengers and 25 tons of commercial cargo per flight. It is expected to arrive in Kabul in the near future and begin both domestic and international operations.

Qatar Airways is continuing to restore and expand its global network, increasing connectivity to more than 160 destinations worldwide.
