One of the difficult things in life to watch is watching your parents getting older. I remember my Dad coaching us in baseball and hockey. Spending hours throwing baseballs with us and turning the backyard into a neighborhood ice rink every winter. Now, he can hardly walk. I remember my Mom always doing, she was alwayscooking and baking, cleaning, sewing, and knitting. And now, she is barely able to do any of those things on her own. ๐
My brothers and I find ourselves in a place we didnโt want to even contemplate when we were younger. Having to care for our parents. They are still in the home we grew up in, but that may have to change. And of course, the thought of that to them feels like a surrender to age. We love our Mom and Dad; they gave us a great childhood. And now, it is our time to give them the love, patience, and support they need. โค๏ธ
