My first blog post in a very long time is related to a #serverless solution for monitoring the status of your site and notifying people when it becomes unavailable.
When you have deployed a new app or site in the cloud the focus usually shifts to monitoring and maintenance. One of the core parts you need to keep an eye on is just making sure your site is reachable to your users at all times.
This article details how you can use some key serverless components from AWS like #AmazonEventbridge, #AWSLambda, and Simple Notification Service to setup a system that will monitor your site (which can be running anywhere) and send emails, text messages, slack messages, and more when the reachability status of your site changes.
Did you know you can create event-driven certificate workflows using #AmazonEventBridge?

Create Event-driven Certificate Workflows in Amazon EventBridge | AWS
This Saturday, I'll be at AWS Community Day Hyderabad talking about Amazon EventBridge and SaaS partner products integrations. I will also demonstrate how this is achieved IRL with @FreshworksInc product events.
