Part One [ A Thread 🧵] - Your Phone Knows Everything You Have Done Even If Its Deleted🤝 I analyzed an Android 13 device image to see how everyday phone activity can be reconstructed into a clear timeline. No assumptions. Just data, correlation, and interpretation. When most people think about phone analysis, they expect something suspicious to jump out immediately. In reality, you usually start with normal activity and make sense of it step by step. #DigitalForensics #DFIR #CyberSecurity #AndroidForensics #IncidentResponse #InfoSec #ForensicAnalysis @RedHatPentester @elormkdaniel

I just completed a full mobile forensic analysis on an Android device and it’s a perfect example of how digital investigations actually work behind the scenes. The process starts long before any data is viewed. The device has to be connected in a controlled way that preserves its original state. Nothing is explored casually because the goal is to keep every artifact exactly as it existed. That preservation is what makes the findings credible and legally defensible. When extraction begins, it’s not simply copying files. The system is interpreting the structure of the phone and rebuilding the user’s digital activity. Messages, call logs, app data, media, saved networks, contacts, and usage history are pulled together from different locations and translated into readable evidence. Some protected system components may appear inaccessible during this phase and that is normal. They are part of the operating system and not the user’s activity. The real value appears during analysis. Timestamps, conversations, payments, voice notes, and file metadata are correlated into a single timeline. This is where raw data becomes a story. You can see what happened, when it happened, and how different actions are connected. The final report is more than a document. It is a structured reconstruction of events where every artifact is traceable to its original source and can be independently verified. This is how a smartphone becomes a source of digital evidence rather than just a storage device. This extraction also extracted my WhatsApp chats backdated to 2024❤️ checkout thread for more #MobileForensics #DigitalForensics #CyberSecurity #DFIR #AndroidForensics #ForensicInvestigation #CyberInvestigation #Infosec #DataExtraction
