🚨 Today marks a MAJOR step forward for Arizona’s missing and endangered children. 🚨 ✅ SB 1416 has passed both the Arizona House and Senate and is now headed to the Governor’s desk for signature. This legislation strengthens accountability, improves reporting requirements, increases public awareness, and ensures critical information about missing children is shared more effectively and more quickly. These are not just procedural changes. These are life-saving improvements. ❤️ 🔹 Requiring law enforcement agencies to share information about missing children with media outlets and on agency social media platforms unless doing so would endanger the child. 🔹 Ensuring critical information, including photographs 📸, descriptions, and last known locations, is entered into national missing persons databases within required timelines. 🔹 Strengthening protections for children in foster care through immediate notification requirements. 🔹 Establishing ongoing training requirements for law enforcement to ensure best practices are consistently followed statewide. 👮‍♂️👮‍♀️ Most importantly, this bill has the full support of law enforcement and comes at no additional cost to Arizona taxpayers. 📍 Today, 511 children are missing in Arizona. Every one of them deserves every available resource working toward their safe return. Every child matters. Jeremiah has been reported missing multiple times in the past year and has previously been located in the Tucson area.
