Atlanta is getting safer—and the numbers prove it.
Under Mayor Andre Dickens’ leadership, homicides have dropped by more than 50% over the past three years, falling from 53 to just 26 year to date. This dramatic reduction is the result of focused investments in community policing, youth programs, and stronger partnerships between law enforcement and neighborhoods.
Mayor Dickens’ vision of One Safe City means every community deserves to feel safe, supported, and heard. Together—with smart strategies and shared responsibility—we're proving that progress is possible.
We’re not just talking safety. We’re delivering it.
