Most New World Solanums are nowhere near as toxic as Old World Atropa (I eat all sorts of sinister-looking things). Just sent him to the hospital to have his stomach pumped. The variety was taken off the market after that.

Great analysis! just one more thing, you would need far less than a few 100mil to peg pDai right now because of the thin liquidity and how AMMs work. Also, because pDai is so heavily bonded to Atropa, Atropa can provide exponential help (or rapidly down with thin liquidity)
