🇨🇳 China Uses AI & Automation to Protect Workers, Not Replace Them for Profit
Powerful video from Inner Mongolia showing autonomous mining trucks operating in one of China’s largest open-pit mines. These driverless trucks handle heavy loads on steep, dusty, freezing roads in extreme conditions; removing humans from dangerous, exhausting, and hostile work in coal mining and heavy industry.
In China, automation is framed as a tool to reduce human suffering and risk. In the US, the same technology is mostly deployed for layoffs, “efficiency,” and maximizing shareholder value.
Same tech. Completely different goals.
Meanwhile under capitalism, AI and automation are primarily weapons to cut payroll and boost profits, while China directs them toward protecting workers and improving lives in the toughest jobs. China knows its priority using technology to serve the people, not for profits!
