anyone familiar or use @AzireVPN before?
they seem to be pretty similar to Mullvad, running their own servers and being based in Sweden.
but they were acquired by Malwarebytes (US-based) around 2024, so why are they still collaborating with Mullvad after the acquisition tho?
AzireVPN, I will always love you. But I’ve moved onto better things. I even created my own Tor Middle Node in my house over my coaxial internet of 300 Mbps down and 20 upload.
I stand for privacy just like you do ❤️

Is it possible to open ports using a VPN that allows port forwarding directly on the router (e.g., Azirevpn)? I'd like to make my node public to support the network.
since apparently gatekeeping is the norm, the best vpns ive seen from my research (however, because i am broke, i have not tested these, but highly rated online) are airvpn, ivpn, azirevpn, and mullvad (which i do use on a daily basis with 0 issues)
PSA:
burning a lot of bridges by saying this, but its important
due to current events lots of people are looking into VPNs to circumvent censorship, so i tried every single big VPN service pushed on Youtube...
and they are ALL overpriced garbage! i dont recommend ANY of them!
That’s actually worse opsec, using mullvad or azirevpn nodes where they have zero logging (not sure about mullvad but azire doesn’t even have persistent storage it’s all in ram so they would have to physically freeze the RAM and still get nothing) and high usage means you kind of join the soup of traffic and get drowned out. Your own server means they have a node to watch where they know there is only one user.
