@BBCCasualty stands out over the weekend in a tsunami of @BBCOne repeats. Programme makers now spend their time flicking through the back catalogue.

Cuts to disabled benefits cuts can force many disabled out of work which will increase the benefits bill. People have died of starvation & suicide as a result of disability benefits cuts in the past. If benefits cuts have to fund defence people will be paying for it with their

One problem with cutting benefits to fund defence is people will die if benefits are cut. A large chunk of the benefits bill is pensions but they won't be cut. Many benefits claimants are in work but still need to use food banks to survive. That includes many disabled.

When everyone says it should come from welfare , maybe start listening to the majority !

It's a scam to take money from the public to enrich beneficiaries of the weapons industry. Basically traitors.

I was hinting at that Bill - you’re right 👍🏼
Richard Madeley is worth more than £4 million so what does he know or care about the welfare needs of poor people. It's not something he needs to worry about. For him it's about protecting his millions.

Ed Davey he blamed @BorisJohnson and @Nigel_Farage for coming out of Europe but that had nothing to do with them, the people voted for it to happen they did the right thing, listened, delivered and made sure it happened, maybe he should listen to the public as well

Lib Dem’s still economically illiterate? Ed is ignoring the facts or doesn’t understand Statistics? Still wants to send billions of pounds to Brussels to be ruled by unelected bureaucrats. Can see why they are so irrelevant.

@bbclaurak #bbclaurak Of course the money has to come from welfare to support defence, the FIRST priority of any government. Welfare has been balloning since 2019 so it's not just the fault of Labour. Also end the triple lock on pensions & this money can also support defence.

I'm sick of the haves wanting the have nots to pay for defence spending. It's time to face the issues and that's WASTE sanctioned by incompetent politicians and civil servants. Same for the NHS too. We need decision makers that know what they are doing not the clowns we have now

Madeley. Cutting edge🤣

Please ask them if they raid welfare how will they deal with increased crime? Are they building way more prisons and more court rooms? And where will they find the money for those solutions?

He’s really a Conservative so why did he want to become a Labour MP only at the last election ? Then resign 23 months later! @AlistairCarns
