Mrs. Cheese (Drew Monti) Finally Breaks Through in Plainridge Feature After knocking on the door with three consecutive runner-up finishes since arriving at Plainridge Park, Mrs. Cheese finally broke through in Monday's (June 8) featured $22,000 Distaff Pace, delivering a career-best performance in the process. Driven by Drew Monti, Mrs. Cheese left alertly and secured the lead through an opening quarter in :27.1. The pace intensified when Miss Idaho A (Nick Graffam) launched a powerful first-over bid and surged to the front before reaching the half in :55. Despite surrendering the lead briefly, Mrs. Cheese remained composed and quickly reclaimed command, maintaining a strong advantage down the backstretch. As the field approached the far turn, Judge Me Again (Mitchell Cushing) angled from the pocket and mounted a serious challenge, drawing within a length of the leader entering the stretch. Meanwhile, Acushla Machree N (Matty Athearn) found room along the pylons and charged late. But Mrs. Cheese dug in gamely through the lane, turning back both rivals to prevail by a head in 1:51.4, a new lifetime mark. The victory was the fifth of the season for Mrs. Cheese, who returned $4.20 to win bettors. The mare is owned by Kellogg Racing and Jackie Greene, who also trains the winner. Comeonover Hanover rallies to lifetime-best score in $13,000 trot (June 2) Comeonover Hanover (Mitchell Cushing) used a perfect second-over trip before powering home in the stretch to capture the $13,000 TrackMaster Rating 80 or Less trot at Plainridge Park on Tuesday (June 2). Consus Victory (Kevin Switzer Jr.) left sharply from the gate and protected the lead through the opening stages before Wall Street Edge (Drew Monti) made a strong move to the front nearing the quarter-mile marker. After an opening panel of :27.2, Wall Street Edge settled comfortably on top while Consus Victory tracked from the pocket. Wall Street Edge continued to control the pace through a half in :56.1 as Just Roxy (Matthew Athearn) launched a first-over attack down the backstretch. The challenger steadily advanced and cleared to the lead approaching three-quarters in 1:24.4, opening up a narrow advantage entering the final turn. Comeonover Hanover was sitting in the ideal second-over position behind Just Roxy and followed that cover around the far turn. As the field straightened for home, Cushing tipped his charge to the outside and set his sights on the leader. Just Roxy dug in gamely after a tough uncovered journey, but Comeonover Hanover proved strongest in the final strides, surging past late to score in a lifetime-best 1:54.3. Just Roxy was a determined second, while Milliondollardream (Jay Randall) rallied from off the pace to finish third. An eight-year-old gelding by Sebastian K S out of Carita, by Malabar Man, Comeonover Hanover is owned by Percy Elkins, trained by Andy Gardner and was driven to victory by Cushing. The victory established a new lifetime mark of 1:54.3 for the veteran trotter. Whoomp Continues Strong Start To 2026 In INSS ANDERSON, Ind.—June 13, 2026—Whoomp driven by John De Long for trainer Roger Welch held firm taking home the second leg of the $94,500 second leg of Indiana Sire Stakes 3-year-old Fillies at Hoosier Park on Saturday (June 13). Setting the tone early, Whoomp was quickest out of the gate from post three, beating out the rest of the field to the first turn in :27.4. Headed to the backstretch, Whoomp maintained the lead followed single file with Klorox Queen (Trace Tetrick) closest to the leader in second. Whoomp led the seven-horse field not breaking a sweat to the halfway mark in :56.4. Klorox Queen stayed tight to the leader in second followed by Treacherous Woman (Kyle Wilfong) and Somemore Blue (Marcus Miller). The post time favorite Somemore Blue transitioned to the outside hoping to make a move on the top three. Whoomp held strong to the three-quarter turn in 1:24.4 with Somemore Blue sliding into third and Klorox Queen hanging on to second. Upon arrival to the stretch, Somemore Blue moved to the leader’s wheel as the top two began to separate from the rest of the field. Somemore Blue turned on the jets with her sights set on the leader; however, Whoomp fought back to reclaim breathing room from Somemore Blue with a :26 final quarter. Whoomp carried the momentum to break the wire three-quarters of a length clear in 1:50.4. Somemore Blue settled for second, while Klorox Queen was third. The three-year-old filly is owned by William De Long, Patrick De Long and Jesse De Long. Whoomp was bred by William De Long and Wm Patrick De Long. Whoomp boosted her lifetime earnings to $421,101 and tallied her second win of the season in as many tries. Whoomp paid $3.80 to win. Ponda Jet driven by Kyle Wilfong for trainer Jay Hochstetler returned to winning ways after a victory in the $22,000 Open Trot at Hoosier Park on Saturday (June 13). At the start, four trotters put up a bid for an early lead with Ponda Jet eventually claiming the lead at the quarter in :26.2 with Drink Up Drink Up (Brandon Bates) at his heels. Ponda Jet motored along the backstretch to the halfway point in :55.3 leaving the field unchanged. The favorite Ponda Jet showed no signs of slowing down at the three-quarters in 1:25.0 as Finite (Trace Tetrick) in third felt pressure from Famous Father (John De Long) in fourth. Ponda Jet kept her foot to the pedal flying to the wire in 1:53.0, eliminating any risk from the ongoing pursuers. Finite rallied for second, while Drink Up Drink Up ended up in third. Ponda Jet is owned by Connie Hochsteler, Robert Buddig and Allen Schwartz to boost his lifetime earnings to $837,472. The Dover Dan gelding claimed his third win of the season to pay $3.20 to win. Powershift Coming into this race, Powershift had never gone beyond 8.5f. Similar to Vitruvian Man, he actually ran a faster 1F and 2F than he had in his previous start. I honestly expected them to try and control things up front by slowing it down along the backstretch and conserving energy, but that never happened. For a horse already facing distance questions, that was a recipe for disaster. Even with a softer middle fraction, stretching out to 10f was always going to be a challenge, but expending that much energy early left him with no chance. His last-place finish wasn’t surprising — the race was essentially lost long before they reached the stretch.

Pocono Raceway Recap for our @PaniniAmerica |@GOATDIECAST23 Wayne Peterson Motorsports #06 Chevrolet! Practice - Just terrible, I sucked, my first time at Pocono so it was a big learning experience, also ran super old tires which didn’t help and was 23rd out of 24 cars on the board. Qualifying - Much better, put 4 brand new tires on for qualifying and the start of the race, ended up P16 on the board and picked up almost 3 seconds from the end of practice to qualifying. The biggest thing hurting us at a track like Pocono was more motor than anything, we were able to corner pretty good, but on corner exit, most of the Ilmor cars just left us, it felt like I was in a 2002 Buick Century drag racing a Mustang. Biggest goal for race was survival and logging laps. Race - Ran inside the top 20 for the first couple of laps, hovering around 16th - 17th. Found ourselves in a “lala land” where we weren’t able to keep up with lead pack, but too fast to work with anyone behind us. First caution comes out, we find ourselves running around 14th and still on lead lap, thought it was going to be a great day. A couple laps after the restart, car starts to break free and come to find out we had a pinhole leak in the RR, so I had to limp it around for an entire lap and pit under green, that cost us 2 laps and knocked us down to 17th where we’d run the rest of the race. Did get to be up close and personal with the pace car while we got a wave around which was a cool feeling, just wish we were on the lead lap and could’ve led some laps. Later in the race I smoked a bird on the backstretch with the LF to the point where it actually broke the body bracing and gave us a small LF tire rub forcing us to pit again under green. Overall, really fun day and really neat experience! There’s no track quite like Pocono, and got some super valuable seat time. Finished the race with no major damage and will be ready to rock and roll at Chicagoland Speedway on July 3rd! Huge thanks to Wayne, Nate, George, and everyone else on the Wayne Peterson crew for always never giving up and working their behinds off 110% of the time! Thank you to everyone for the support and love as always! Jealous of the people that live in the middle of Circuite de La Sarthe where Le Mans is being held cooking, chilling, or falling asleep AND waking up to race cars blasting by your backyard at 200 on the backstretch has to be heavenly for ME atleast

Now under red flag for cleanup. Apparently was power steering fluid all over backstretch. Of note, if there are 40 consecutive green flag laps, a competition caution will be flown. This will not be in effect once inside 15 laps remaining.
