The Nigerian Army needs the cooperation of its citizens. Citizens in turn need confidence in their defense institutions. If from all the hints, Justice Crack is being held by the Nigerian Army without communication, it weakens public understanding. Such action is perceived as abduction of citizens by the country’s defense institution against public understanding. The Nigerian Army needs to give the public assurance of safety of the missing citizen whose whereabouts has been linked in clues to the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA). The procedures for extracting information from citizens need not be abusive, torturous or flagrantly in disregard for people’s rights especially in a Democracy.
