A little background. Epik is Rob Monster's DN company which has branched into hosting. BitMitigate (a website security service) from Nick Lim was bought by Epik. Nick Lim was Epik's CTO briefly in 2019. VanwaTech, VanwaNet, OrcaHost & OpenInternetAccess are also Nick Lim's.

8kun is owned by Jim Watkins formerly with help from his son Ron Watkins. 8kun is hosted by Vanwanet, a CDN company setup essentially just for 8kun, by one Nick Lim. Yes, the same Nick Lim that runs Epik's Bitmitigate. Vanwanet and Bitmitigate are nearly the same product.
