Spectre is 7.5-ish weeks old now & pushing 25 lbs… This Kuvasz puppy is born to parents (Merlin & Artemis) who have their blockchain notarized (@ardriveapp ) digital twins encapsulated in the @goLifeShip pyramid integrated on @FireflySpace ‘s Blue Ghost on the Lunar Surface… mindblowing to think about actually. Truly mindblowing.
Like his father Merlin, Spectre is named after a pivotal technology…
During the final descent phase of the BGM1 Lander, after the main engine shut down, eight Spectre thrusters took over to ensure that glorious SoftLanding we all witnessed. The Spectre thrusters throttled as needed to slow the lander from higher speeds down to ~1 m/s at touchdown…. All whilst maintaining precise orientation and attitude control…
Spectre thrusters enabled a controlled, upright soft landing in Mare Crisium… marking the first FULLY successful commercial lunar landing in history. According to Grok and the media reports I could find, the Spectre thrusters performed reliably throughout, contributing to over 14 days of subsequent surface operations.
Spectre is also a word that means ‘Ghost’… callsigns (at least in this house) work better with two-syllables… and… there was no way I was letting my husband name this dog ‘thruster’ *sips coffee*

🚀🌖 Le second étage d’une fusée Falcon 9 de SpaceX pourrait s’écraser sur la Lune le 5 août 2026.
🔹 L’astronome Bill Gray a repéré et calculé la trajectoire de cet étage de fusée SpaceX, catalogué sous la désignation 2025-010D. Il prévoit un impact près du limbe lunaire, sur la partie éclairée de la Lune.
🔹 Ce débris provient du lancement du 15 janvier 2025 qui emportait l’atterrisseur lunaire Blue Ghost de Firefly. L’étage supérieur est resté en orbite haute avant de prendre la direction de la Lune.
🔹 L’étage de fusée percutera la Lune à 2,43km/s. L’impact devrait créer un cratère mais il est peu probable que l’événement soit visible depuis la Terre en raison de sa position, proche du limbe.
👉 L’impact devrait n’entraîner aucun danger pour les activités lunaires actuelles. Il souligne néanmoins le besoin de surveillance des débris spatiaux en orbite, y compris dans le voisinage de la Lune.
